Seven Sweet Strawberries

Join us for a series of small quilt workshops based on the Louisiana-themed children's book One Noise Street Car by Christy Andrews. These small quilts are a great introduction for those new to quilting and are also lots fun for more experienced quilters.

During each workshop, you will cut out your fabric, learn techniques for piecing the quilt top, start machine sewing your quilt, and enjoy time with other sewers. Depending on the pattern and your skills, you may even finish piecing your entire quilt during the workshop.

Join Joelle on Saturday, May 11 and May 18, 2024, 3:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. to make the Seven Sweet Strawberries quilted table runner or wall hanging.

You will learn techniques for cutting fabric for quilts, piecing methods for the top, and lots of applique. You may need finish sewing your quilt top at home, but you will have all the skills you need to finish by the end of the workshop. Or you can swing by one of our monthly Sewing Labs to finish it up with us.

Class cost is $96.00 This includes six hours of instruction in a small group setting, use of our machines and equipment in the sewing salon and a copy of the pattern. You will need to purchase the fabric for the quilt, or break in to your stash. If you prefer, we can put together a quilt kit for you. Fabrics and quilt kits purchased from us for the workshop receive a 20% discount.

We will email you the yardage requirements for the quilt when you register for the class.
