Machine Paper Piecing 9/30

Have you ever wondered how to machine (foundation) paper piece? Join us to learn two different techniques for getting sharp lines and detailed shapes using foundation paper piecing. Note that this techinque uses a sewing machine, unlike English paper piecing.

You will have the choice of two different patterns for this workshop. We will cover techniques for foundation paper piecing and spend plenty of time getting experience. We will also cover a couple of ways to incorporate your pieced panel into a final project like a bag or zippered case.

Join Joelle on Saturday, September, 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Feel free to bring an afternoon snack or grab takeout or drinks from one of our great neighborhood restaurants.

This is a good class for developing your skills as a confident beginner. If you know how to sew a straight line, can follow a seam allowance and have recent experience using a sewing machine, you are ready for this class.

TIME: Saturday, September 30, 3:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.

COST: $80.00 This includes two hours of instruction in a small group setting, use of our machines and equipment in the sewing salon, copies of two different patterns, a 6" Add A Quarter ruler, and instructions to take home to help you continue your paper piecing adventures at home. You will need approximately one fat quarter for your back ground fabric and multiple small scraps at least one inch wide for the patchwork. If you prefer to not work from your stash, fabrics purchased from us for the workshop receive a 20% discount.

We will email you the two different designs that we will cover in the class so you can choose scraps or purchase some new fabric if desired.

We must have a minimum of 3 students enrolled to hold a class. We reserve the right to cancel due to low enrollment.

Cancellation Policy: All cancellations or rescheduling must be made no less than 24 hours before the class otherwise you forfeit the class fee.

In case of cancellation by us, you may choose to be refunded or receive store credit for the amount paid at the time of registration and use the credit towards a future class within 6 months.

Payments must be made in advance to secure your spot.
