Our Favorite Five Fabrics for Fall Capsules

Our Favorite Five Fabrics for Fall Capsules

Ok, so yeah...it's still hot outside, and those cool autumn breezes we yearn for are still few and far between, but...fall is right around the corner, and we can't wait!

And neither can your new fall wardrobe!

It's time to get to work on your fall clothing capsule. What's a clothing capsule, you ask? It's a tight edit (collection) of everyday pieces you can mix and match to create dozens of outfits that changes with each season.

Once you have your capsule sewn, you can say goodbye to the dreaded, "what should I wear" part of your day! Capsule wardrobes make getting dressed CRAZY easy. And if / when we're able to travel again, forget about it - capsules make it so easy! Open suitcase, throw in capsule, add shoes, and you are done.

So, what goes in your capsule? There are no rules, but typically a few different style tops, bottoms (pants, skirt), and a shawl or cardigan or both!

Lots to sew, but sew worth it!

Here we go!

First, two lovely solids in beautiful organic cotton linen will form the base of your capsule -- sew a dress, cardigan, and trousers with these. And maybe because they feel so wonderful against the skin...a long sleeve shirt too!
